BIG DOG PILOT CLINICS — NOVEMBER 13 & 14 — RHINELANDER

We now work exclusively from our mobile unit, which requires dogs to weigh no more than 45 pounds due to space limitations. This special event for “big dogs” is being piloted to serve a community need. If successful, it will be repeated up to four times per year in various locations. Residents living in the 54501 zip code who are in need of additional financial assistance to spay or neuter their big dog should leave a message at 715-256-8555 to make an appointment. Additional funds are limited.

Big Dog Fees
Dogs 46-50 pounds: $200 for female, $150 for male
Dogs 51-79 pounds: $250 for female, $200 for male
Dogs 80-109 pounds: $275 for female, $225 for male
Dogs 110+ pounds: $300 for female, $250 for male
Included with surgery is a rabies vaccination if needed, take home pain medication, nail clipping and ear cleaning.

STEP 3: See what location will work best for you. Because clinics can be fully booked 1-3 months in advanced, do not expect to get into the next available date listed here. It may instead be a more future date.

CLINIC LOCATIONS & SCHEDULE

The 2020 clinic schedule is fully booked for the remainder of the year. We will post January dates as soon as we have them determined. Thank you for your patience!

STEP 4: Understand the required appointment deposit:

  • A $20 non-refundable deposit is required for each pet’s appointment.
  • The deposit applies to your total clinic fees.
  • If you cancel or miss the appointment, the $20 deposit is lost and becomes a donation.

STEP 5: What to expect on clinic day and read the Appointment Checklist:

Arrive at 8:45 am. Late arrivals may not be accepted.

When you arrive:

  1. Remain in your vehicle.
  2. A staff member will come to you to with paperwork.
  3. Complete any needed payment.
  4. Follow all staff instructions.

STEP 6: Use the e-appointment system to request an appointment.

  • The system will not allow you to request an appointment if there are no surgery slots available for your type of pet.
  • You will receive TWO emails after your appointment is confirmed — one with information about the appointment and one with a link to the Intake & Consent form.

If you are not comfortable with the on-line system you may call 715-256-8555 and leave a message with this information:
